Without dark we wouldn’t know light.
Without black we wouldn’t know white.
Without pain we wouldn’t know happiness.
Darkness creeps into my soul now,
Threatening to extinguish my light.
My light that is still faint.
Dancing to the tunes of the wind,
My light casts just a faint glow.
I want it it to light me up, light the room up, even the world up if possible.
Oh darkness don’t let me fade away just yet.
Rage rage against the dying of the light.
Don’t go gentle into that good night.
Apt comparisons in the poem Girl – we cannot appreciate something if dont know the absence of it too!
